OK, this is bad. I’ve got tot start blogging more often!
Anyway…
It’s been an interesting month. Started the month out in the hospital for about a week, yuck! After the hospital it took me about two to three weeks to really get back to one hundred percent which is where I’m just now getting. I’ll say this when you get in a habit of doing something and all of a sudden you can’t do it for a month it can sure throw a kink in your system. That’s way it was with me not being able to go out witnessing or at least for not very long at a time due to health reasons. I love witnessing about Jesus and I sure did miss not being able to tell people about him!
This week I plan on being back if not one hundred percent at least close to it, Praise God! I plan on being back to the Keeper of the Plains during the week and then hitting a car show & Old Town next weekend. To all of you that have been praying for us I say “Thank you” as my recovery has been really fast and my health is progressing nicely. Please keep me and my family in prayer as I get back up to speed with my witnessing.
I find it interesting the responses I get when I use the million dollar bill tract. I use the million dollar bill tract as an icebreaker and after I give a person a million dollar bill tract if they stop to look at it or better yet ask me what it is I tell them “On the back it asks the million dollar question. When you die where are you going, Heaven or Hell? If they say Heaven I’ll ask them why would God let you in. If they say anything other then Jesus is their savior or something close to it I continue on. When asking someone why would God let you in I am still amazed at the number of people that say it’s because they’re a good person or something like that.
Lately I’ve been surprised at the number of people who tell me they are going to hell mainly because they are having too much fun here on earth. About the only thing you can do with someone like this is try to convince them that Hell is a real place and it’s not fun, in fact it’s worse then they could ever imagine. Then all you can do is show them the Word if they will let you and try to convince they don’t need to die and go to Hell!
For me personally the hardest person to witness to is the person when you ask them if they are going to Heaven or Hell they say they don’t have a clue or they don’t know. I meet people all of the time that tell me this. I suppose one of the reasons it is so hard for me to talk with people like this is that when you start witnessing with this kind of person you get very little feedback from the person and you can do is rely on your training.
