Ministry Update

Wow! Talk about writer’s block. It’s been 3 ½ months since I’ve blogged! To be honest I haven’t had anything in this big old head of mine to write about this whole time! I figure enough has been going on now that I ought to write an update about what’s been going on at least so in my ministry!

Since the last time I blogged I’ve handed out close to two thousand of the million dollar bill gospel tracts to different people. After a year of passing out those tracts I am still amazed at how people take them, read them, and then hang on to them! I pass these tracts out to anyone and everyone that I meet. If they will stop and talk when I give them a million dollar bill they usually ask what it’s for. I tell them on the back it has the million dollar question. When they ask what the question is I simply say it’s asking you whether or not you’re going to Heaven.

At this point facial expression is everything. If they smile there’s a pretty good chance they are saved. Any other kind of expression and I know I’ve got some witnessing to do! I always follow up after I ask them if they are going to Heaven with “Why would Jesus let you in?” if they say because Jesus is their Lord and Savior I say “fantastic!”, otherwise I ask them a few basic questions so I can get them to listen to scripture.

It sounds complicated I know but once you do it a time or two, or better yet after you practice it several times then do it a time or two it come pretty easy to you. The one thing that you do want to do listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit and be prayed up before you go witnessing. The more you are in tune with God the easier it is to witness! One thing I should add here is that be careful, once you start telling others about Jesus it can become very addictive and you can get a real rush not only telling others about Jesus but leading them to get saved too!

I do have one other tract that I use now. It’s a million peso tract in Spanish on both the front and the back. When I’m walking around and I run into people that speak Spanish I politely say “You se habla Espanol?” and if they say “yes” or “se” I hand them a Spanish tract. One other cool thing that I can do now with Spanish speaking people is that if they want to know more I can call our Spanish pastor at church on his cell phone from my cell phone and put that person on the phone with someone that speaks their language!

I’ve found a way to get exercise and pass out tracts at the same time. Pam and I have committed to walking 30 minutes every evening that we can. Depending on the night you can

either find us at Bradley Fair at 21st & Rock or at the Keeper of the Plains here in downtown Wichita. I will say that during the summer however on Friday and Saturday evenings unless there is something big going on around Wichita you can find me at Old Town here in Wichita. Old Town is a myriad of restaurants, shops, theater, & bars so it is naturally the place to be on the weekends!

That’s about all I’ve got for now. Maybe this will break my writers block and I can back in the habit of blogging all of the time!

Be Blessed!!!
